Naturist cinema

From the earliest days of modern naturism movies promoted the naturist way of life. Pioneering documentary films such as Back to Nature/This Nude World and more recent efforts like Act Naturally and Nudels of NudeLand 2022 represent the naturist way of life on film. The nudism film genre dates back to the 1930s but really exploded in the 1950s and 60s the so called golden age of nudism. ¹As Nature Intended. Naturist films birthed another genre of movies called nudie cuties. These films produced by directors like Doris Wishman, took advantage of the legal gains of nudist films to depict nudity on the screen in a quasi-nudist documentary format. ²As Nature Intended
