Luz Del Fuego (February 21, 1917 – July 19, 1967) was Brazilian naturist pioneer of the mid 20th century who founded a naturist political party and a naturist space on an island off the shore of Rio de Janeiro. She established the first naturist club in Brazil, the “Brazilian Naturist Club” on Sun Island (Ilha do Sol) In the early 1950s, she founded a political party called the Brazilian Naturist Party and ran as Congresswoman for this party.1Luz del Fuego
luz was comfortable with nudity and considered it a form of self expression. 2 Luz del FuegoShe was brutally murdered in 1967 in her home after denouncing fishermen for overfishing.
