Lupin Lodge is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains on 110 acres. 1  LUPIN LODGE: MORE THAN JUST NUDISTS IN NATURE On the site of a former winery. 2 The Naked Truth Founded in 1936 by George Spray with the help of investors like photographer Albert Arthur Allen and named it The Elysium Foundation of California. Frenchman George Bouffil, and his wife, Paulette, bought Lupin Lodge for $30,000 and changed the name to “Villa Paulette. 3 The Naked Truth Three years later the name was abruptly changed to Lupin Lodge 4 Lupin History and the under a new owner just Lupin. 5 The Naked Truth

Lupin Lodge has on sometime tenuous relationship with the American Association for Nude Recreation as it has evolved. 6  LUPIN LODGE: MORE THAN JUST NUDISTS IN NATURE Owners of Lupin in the 1950’s Sol and Toby Stern thought the AANR publication was too provocative.
