Jakob Bohme (1575-1624) was a German philosopher, christian mystic and Lutheran Protestant theologian who lived in the late 16th and early 17th century. Bohme’s a spiritual perspective suggested the practice of naturism or social nakedness was a return to the innocence of Adam and Eve before their corruption. He also thought that nakedness reflected the biblical virtues of equality found in the New Testament section of the Christian Bible.
Bohme’s spiritual teachings also promoted compassion to animals and considered the slaughter of animals a barrier between God and human being. As a result a vegetarian diet was preferred by followed of this spiritual practice.
