International Naturist Federation

INFThe INF or International Naturist Federation is an international naturist organization.According to International Naturist Federation web site The INF is a worldwide organization with federations and correspondents in over 30 countries.

The INF was officially chartered at the meeting of the third World Naturist Congress in 1953 at CHM-Montalivet. Dr Richard Ehrmann of Austria Was chosen as the first president. Albert Lecocq of France, husband of Christiane Lecocq was among four vice presidents chosen. The others were Erhard Wachtler of Germany, Eduard Frankhauser of Switzerland and Dorothy Thornton of Gt. Britain.

The INF lists 38 member federations and 12 corresponding groups.1History of INF-FNI In 1974 the INF a developed the following definition of naturism.

Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature, characterised by the practice of communal nudity, with the intention of encouraging respect for oneself, respect for others and respect for the environment”. INF 1974

In the past INF has been embroiled in controversy about the election of its officers which is usually done at the quadrennial World Naturist Congress.
