Some hot springs are located in remote areas, off hiking trails on public lands that may not easily accessible, plan your trip accordingly. Some may not accessible during the summer months. Be sure to do research if that is important to you.

There is etiquette to be considered using a hot spring and in particular a clothing optional one.
