History
The American Nudist Research Library was founded in 1979 by Read and Jayne Schuster. 1American Nudist Research Library Welcome It’s goal is to preserve the history of nudism in North America. The library is a repository collection rather than a circulation collection. Researchers and visitors visit ANRL to view its document collection instead of checking materials out.
Location
ANRL is located on the grounds of Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Kissimmee Florida. The library is a recognized non profit 5013c organization. 2Wikipedia: American Nudist Research Library In 2015 ANRL began digitizing it’s collection scanning paper documents.
ANRL is a part of the Nudist Research Library Consortium
There are 4 nudist research libraries in the country: one near AANR headquarters in Kissimmee, Florida; one near The Naturist Society headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and 2 in California. There is a project underway to link their collections electronically for better sharing of resources.
