June Loeber married in Florida at a young age to her husband Pete. He was a amateur photographer and she was his model subject. The two reportedly discovered home nudity trying to beat the heat and humidity of their Florida home. It was while helping with her husband’s photography that Loeber first expressed an interest in nude modeling.
The couple joined the Spartan Club and connected with long time members there Bob and Mary Phillips. The connection inspired Loeber and her husband’s nudist photography. Mary Phillips (who became a naturist photo icon in her own right with Ed Lange) along with their husbands were additional models.
