Painting the Virtual Mind

Susannah Martin was born in 1964 in New York City. She studied fine arts at New York University and received a SEHNAP grant for painting. Among her most notable teachers were John Kacere, Louise Lawler, Sherrie Levine and Peter Campus. After her studies, she took on numerous large-scale public and private mural projects, and she also created works for film sets in New York, Berlin and Frankfurt am Main, where she lives and works today. People, nature and animals are in constant exchange – sometimes intimate, sometimes ecstatic.
