A Dare to Bare

I dare you to bare – bare what you might ask in indignant horror or eager youthful anticipation. I challenge you to expose something a little bit more than the subtitle Naturism might imply. On the surface, A Dare to Bare is a call to try social nudity to make a better world. I actually dare you to address body negativity through nudity.This book looks at the concept of naturism and asks a simple question, does it even exist? What on earth prompts someone to open themselves to a torrent of judgement and social scorn when in reality we are all naturists? It asks where are we going in society and can we ever free ourselves from body persecution and exploitation. Is our culture of clothing distorting our self worth or is it a form of self-expression. With obesity and mental heath problems on the increase perhaps it is time to look at ourselves in a far more critical way, time to remove the layers and stop being sheep. The human body is a complex machine, increasingly we are detaching ourselves and choosing to hide under layers of protection. Do you dare to change this?
