Ethical naturism

ethical naturism is an approach to naturism that believes naturism is more of a way of life and philosophy than simply nakedness. Ethical naturism is organized around the naturist ethic or a naturist manifesto ¹A Naturist Manifesto. Ethical naturism is rooted in the perspective that while many expressions or types of naturism exist, naturism is more than simply being naked. It is also a life philosophy. Ethical naturists bring naturist ideals and ethics into every aspect of life.³What’s What and Who’s Who

Ethical naturism expresses some foundational principles. ⁴The Ethical Naturism Triad

• Acceptance of self
• Respect for others 
• Harmony with Nature 

These principles are in alignment with the International Naturist Federation definition of naturism.

Though the concept and terminology ethical naturism fell out of use in recent times particularly in the era of social media, some continue to advocate for its continued usage.

Nudism is a state of being, a state of mind. It’s about living a little more comfortable. With any community, there’s a melting pot of ideas, expressions, beliefs on how to advance. To believe there is no wrong that can come from it’s thinking, I feel, lacks borders. To the contrary, I’ve seen some sentiments shared that I can’t help but feel is unhealthy. ⁵My opinion on ethical naturism (a rant)
